Actors biography:

Nathan is an Irish actor from Derry based in Glasgow, Scotland. Nathan recently graduated from Edinburgh Napier University where he studied Stage and Screen Acting BA(Hons).
Nathan, from an early age, always loved performing but didn’t have the opportunity to do any acting growing up in Derry so instead would try his hand at playing music live, playing guitar and singing in a few bands as a teenager.

It wasn’t until Nathan moved to Scotland, at the age of eighteen to study Psychology at University of Stirling, that he finally gained the opportunity to do some acting through the Stirling University Drama Society. The poster for open call auditions for MacBeth, his favourite Shakespeare script, caught his eye and he gave it a go and never looked back.

It was after finding this passion that Nathan dropped out of his studies at Stirling, went back to college to gain the necessary qualifications to study acting and follow his dream of working as an actor.

At Edinburgh Napier University, Nathan gained great experience and knowledge through his tuition and course syllabus. It was at Napier that Nathan also had the opportunity to work on short films, by himself and other students, and gained a lot of experience acting for the camera. Something which he has grown to love, finding a lot of excitement in the scope it gives to play around with scenes and other actors and the joy of the collaborative process. Nathan still says though that nothing beats the rush of live performance!

The work Nathan is most proud of so far is his turn as the murderous Loyalist Johnny Glendenning in “Kill Johnny Glendenning.” Outside of acting Nathan has a deep connection to Gaelic legends and folklore. He finds great solace in these tales and hopes to bring them to the stage and screen so that others may share his passion. Nathan is also a keen musician, playing guitar and bass and has nearly ten years of experience working as a bartender.
