Actors biography:

Elora discovered her love of performance at a young age, singing ‘opera’ (operatic wailing) to her family at three years old and joining her first drama club at four. She has always loved how performance brings joy, further discovering the element of catharsis that theatre can allow, as well as its ability to inform, educate and challenge view points is what really drives her in her career.

Elora is a passionate performer who is particularly fond of theatre with a message. Being trained in musical theatre, she has a great love of theatre and music, taking a particular interest in vocal pedagogy. Elora also enjoys screen work, having been in several short films, she finds the differentiation in skill sets between screen and theatre interesting and exciting; making her performance feel fresh and new each time. Her ongoing mission to hone her craft lends well to a natural ability to take on direction, all while creating grounded characters with rich backgrounds.

Elora deeply values inclusion and communication both in and out of a performance space. It is with these elements we are able to effectively and compassionately create powerful productions that are truthful and honest.

Elora has a tremendous ability to learn dialogue, having recently alternated both Electra and Chrysothemis (two sisters) in a production of Electra: Unbound, a greek tragedy, in which the character Electra features heavily and there were several scenes of dialogue exclusively between the aforementioned sisters.
An achievement she is particularly proud of is being able to play these two characters effectively and truthfully, especially because the sisters are such polar opposites; Electra being gritty and angry, while Chrysothemis is innocent and naive.

When not working on her performance skills you can find Elora creating watercolour paintings, playing around and maybe writing some songs on her mandolin or guitar and experimenting with graphic design!
