Actors biography:

Melissa Lischer, born in 1986 in Basel, Switzerland, is an actress and singer-songwriter of Swiss and Cameroonian heritage. From an early age, she was drawn to the performing arts, first through school theatre and later by developing her skills in music and singing.

Between 2002 and 2010, she performed as a vocalist with the renowned Big Band Föhn from Lucerne, gaining extensive stage experience. In 2005, she completed a vocal program at the Jazz School Lucerne, and from 2006 to 2008 she trained in dance with the Matchless Dancers, working as an animation and show dancer.

In 2011, Melissa signed with the label profimusic as a singer-songwriter, releasing an album and several singles. She later broadened her artistic path by completing professional acting training at Drama Academy Switzerland in Olten in 2023/2024.

Since 2023, Melissa has also been working successfully in the commercial sector, appearing in various advertising campaigns. Her first on-set experiences came the same year as an extra in Tschugger Season 3 (directed by David Constantin) and in Petra Volpe’s feature film HELDIN (2024). She then played supporting roles in the short films Eldur (2024) and Water Horn (2024), and took the lead in the stage play 1857 – Ein Herbst ohne Gnade, directed by Susanna Zachar.

In 2025, Melissa continues to expand her repertoire. She appeared in the Live on Stage musical production and secured her first supporting role in an English-language feature film, Alphamen. In 2026, she is set to take the lead in The Soul Algorithm, a two-person theatre production.

Outside of her artistic work, Melissa finds inspiration in outdoor activities. She enjoys climbing both indoors and outdoors, hiking in the Swiss mountains, and surfing whenever she has the chance.

With her multicultural background and a career spanning music, stage, screen, and commercials, Melissa Lischer brings creativity, versatility, and authenticity to every project she undertakes.
