Actors biography:

Michael graduated from the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama (RCS) in 1997 and worked professionally as an actor for the next five years with numerous film and theatre companies including Perth Theatre. He also set up his own theatre company (Core Collective) which focused on Theatre in Education – offering workshops and inspiring children around Scotland.

Michael then pursued a career in the education sector which included working with the charity “Connecting Classrooms.” He spent a summer in Tanzania promoting Drama and the Arts in schools. While working with the Shakespeare Schools Foundation, Michael’s passion for the acting profession was ignited again. He decided to embark on completing a Masters of Fine Arts in Acting for Stage and Screen at Edinburgh Napier University and graduated in October 2024.

Michael is enjoying being back in the exciting world of acting.  Most recently, he took part in a commercial for the Scottish Lottery and has worked with the Walking Theatre Company.  At the moment he is starring in a film being produced by Apple Tree Pictures.

Previous credits include the acclaimed “Twenty People a Minute” (A&R Productions, 2023 Edinburgh Fringe) which was shortlisted for a Scottish Theatre Award, “Divided” (McSween Productions, 2024 Edinburgh Fringe), “My Wife Fell in Love with a Life Size Cardboard Cut-Out of Ronan Keating” (Falconer Productions, 2024) and “Children of the Sun” (Celt Productions, 2024).
